Discover Your Body's Best Weight Lifting Workout

Discover Your Body's Best Weight Lifting Workout

by Emmanuel Palmer

Everyone wants to look great, who doesn't? You get more admiring glances and you even get special favors once in a while; but more than anything you feel better about yourself. If you weren't born with a wrestler's body, thank God that would be too scary. However, if you are naturally skinny or hefty, you still can a great physique if you have enough determination, motivation and maybe get a little bit of kick out of physical pain-the good kind only.

Let us start with the basics: how to build bigger muscle. Exercise, those involving heavy weights particularly, puts tears in the muscle tissues. When you go home and rest, these little tears are then repaired by your body. As they are repaired, hormones are released to develop the same muscles to withstand the more stress thus creating the bigger and stronger muscles that you see. To get that body you want, below is a solid weight lifting workout that you can use right away.

Always start your training with a few minutes of warm up. If you are planning to bulk up, 10 to 30 minutes of light cardiovascular exercise will suffice. Practice warm up as a pre-exercise regimen to ensure optimal performance as it stimulates blood flow to vital organs like the blood, lungs and your muscle tissues. It also raises your body temperature, as with stretching. Stretch thoroughly between sets to prepare your muscles and ease soreness the next several days.

There are quite a few exercise equipment and drills available for your training. What is crucial is that you study and plan the factors that make up an effective workout program to fully maximize the muscle groups worked on that day. Some of these factors would be the frequency of training, reps and sets performed, and weight loads to be used.

When you are starting out, use lower weights and do 2 to three sets of 12 repetitions in your drills. Choose the correct weight by finding out what load will tire your target muscle by the 12th repetition. Try different weights on subsequent work outs to experiment. Rest periods between sets should be about 60 to 90 seconds if you're aiming to build bigger muscle.

Ask any professional trainer and they will advise a two to four day split training on specific muscle groups. You can either split between the upper (arms, back, chest, shoulders) and lower (legs, stomach) body; or between muscles that work together. Always train the bigger muscles and work your way down to the smallest to ensure that you get the most out of each workout session.

These are some drills you can use for your workout: Stomach- crunches and leg raises Arms- dips, close-grip bench press and barbell curls Shoulders- dumbbell rear felt flyes and military press (standing and sitting) Back- lat pull downs,T-bar rows and deadlifts Chest- barbell bench press, decline bench press and incline bench press Legs- lunges, leg presses and squats

Drink 10 to 12 glasses of water especially during workout sessions so that you won't be dehydrated as you train. Always make time for cooling down and stretching after training. For unusual pain (soreness not included) in joints and muscles, consult your trainer and therapist as soon as possible. Now you have a weight lifting workout, you have no excuse not to have a great physique. Live right and enjoy!

Personal Trainers Who Can Help You Loose Weight With Step Aerobics

Personal Trainers Who Can Help You Loose Weight With Step Aerobics

by Jason Schoonhovan

As an aerobics instructor, you are always looking for new ideas and moves that will help your exercise routine stay fresh. Aerobics choreography is a very popular aerobics exercise program and the aerobics steps do affect how smoothly a class is conducted, the popularity of the class and how the whole routine is put together. It is important that instructors practice their routines many times over in order to be able to teach a class so they are familiar and comfortable with their own aerobics steps.

There are endless sets of aerobics steps that can be picked to suit individual needs as each different exercise requires different sets of moves and there are far too many moves for any one instructor to complete them. Memorizing the moves isn't as necessary as getting familiar with them. The point of aerobics choreography is to pass on and inspire intensive moves to the students so they could use it to help them create their very own aerobic choreography.

Aerobics steps are the ideal way to strengthen the cardiovascular system while losing weight and toning muscles. Aerobics classes will usually introduce you to various steps that help you archive the latter. An aerobic dance class will assist tone up the body making it firmer and firmer, lowers the blood pressure, reduces additional fat and betters cardiovascular strength.

Instructors also pick music that is one of their favorite and something that would best suit their audience and their aerobics steps. It is crucial because it sets the pace for the entire workout class also having an impact on how smoothly the class works out. Some aerobic music can provide a workout with a low impact and high strength alternative. Depending on the aerobics steps and the selection of music, the routine can have a different impact on the health and training technique however it is recommended to have the 32 count 120 BPM music for aerobic routines.

Aerobic exercise classes use their own specialized set of choreography and vocabulary. Aerobic choreography may include notations of either step maneuvers or floor maneuvers or even a combination of both. An aerobics instructor takes plenty of time to research and take all information into consideration when coming up with aerobics steps for an effective workout routine. The more time put into choreographing an aerobic routine, the more successful it will be to teach a class that is bound to run smoothly.

P90X Get The Results You're Looking For

P90X Get The Results You're Looking For

by Austin Mcgonigle

This topic came to me this evening, while I was talking with a friend of mine. He was telling me how he can't get into working out and exercising, because he never "notices" the results in the mirror. Now people, you might be under the illusion that getting results is all about how much weight you can lift, or how many reps you can do, P90Xers how many pull ups/ push ups you can knock out, but the truth is, that's a small part of it. The ONLY way to get results is to set up some kind of diet plan. P90x and Tony Horton set up a nutrition plan, to go along with the videos. Now I'm not saying that in order to get results you have to follow the P90X nutrition guide, but you will have to put some kind of plan into action.

You can exercise all you want, and lift all you want, but if you're not doing some kind of nutrition you're not going to get true visible results***RIPPED ABS!, I'm not saying you won't be in amazing shape, you just won't have amazing definition. When I started P90X I went a little far, I completely cut out soft drinks, processed foods (for the most part), sugars, fast food, and anything else I thought was junk. Now I know that's not realistic for everyone, but everyone can make little changes to get them on the path. I I thought I would give you a few ideas, buy telling you all what I eat on a daily basis. I'm not saying this is what you have to eat, just giving you a little food for thought so to speak

I can't think of anything more important than what I'm about to tell you, so pay close attention because this is the key to a good nutrition planmake SURE you eat breakfast every day. I know that everyone is in a hurry in the mornings, and a lot of times breakfast is the last thing on our minds, but the truth is by not eating breakfast you're sending your body into starvation mode. Now think about this, you should stop eating 3-4 hours before you go to sleep, now assuming you do that, and most people get at least 6 hours of sleep, and you decide to skip breakfast and eat lunch some where around 12:00, and you went to sleep at 10 the night before and stopped eating at 7, that's 17 hours you went with out eating. That sends you body into starvation mode, slows your metabolic rate, and you body becomes extremely efficient, and doesn't like to burn calories unless absolutely necessary, that means there are less calories being burned and more fat being stored, which is extremely counter productive. The purpose of that huge run on sentence up there was to explain why breakfast is soo important .so eat something in the mornings!!!

For me breakfast doesn't change much, the only thing that really changes are the days I that I eat certain things on, it always pretty much consists of: Turkey sausage, some kind of fruit, slice of wheat toast, and a glass of juice **the rest of the day it's nothing but water** Protein shake and fruit 8ox Oatmeal, fruit, and juice 3 egg whites with chopped onions/mushrooms/ham, slice wheat toast, and a glass juice. And that pretty much takes care of breakfast, those for things on a repeating cycle.boring I knowbut as I said before it's what works for me, and that's what's important. Sometime after breakfast but before lunch I'll have a snack, now by snack I don't mean run out to the gas station and load up on a 44oz soda, and hoho's, snack's are fruit, nuts, turkey jerky, or a protein bar/shake.

Sadly to say lunch never changes for me, I'll have a can of all white albacore tuna, I don't mix it mayo and pickles and all that, I just eat the tuna right out of the can, sometimes I'll put a little balsamic vinegar on it, and have a salad. If I can't get home, and have to eat lunch out, I'll normally find a deli, have a half of some kind of sandwich on wheat, along with a salad.

Dinner is the most important meal of the day, because in the past I would eat just to have something to do , so I make sure that dinner is good, so I don't have to go looking for something to do in a couple of hoursJ For example I would do a tuna steak on sear it on both side for a couple of minutes, maybe some steamed vegetables, and either brown rice or wheat pasta. Something along those lines would be a good dinner that would keep me happy till morning. I cut a lot of red meat out of my diet now, so it's mostly tuna, pork, chicken. Now I'm not saying red meat is bad, it was just a personal decision, and I still love a great steak, just not as many as I used to love. Do whatever works for you, like I said this is what works for me, the important thing is to put some kind of plan into action, and follow through..GOODLUCK and STICK WITH IT!!!!!
