How to Treat Sinus Infections with Home Remedies

For many people Sinus infections are a major health problem. Most sinus problems start from infections of the upper respirator tracts. Infections in the respiratory tracts can block the Sinus cavities due to which there can be rapid build up of bacteria in the sinus cavities. These infections cause pretty bad symptoms including blocked nose, discharge from the nose and headaches.

There are many good solutions which can solve Sinus problems and in this article we will see two solutions which can act as easy home remedies for Sinus infections.

1. Apple Cider Vinegar - Apple Cider Vinegar (ACV) is used for sinus problems for a long time and it is proven to be really effective and it can be taken as tonic. ACV has many many beneficial effects and it is a boon for the man kind. Take two teaspoon of ACV in 16 oz of water two to three times a day. Regularly taking it will prevent from respiratory infections from developing and prevent sinus problems.

ACV is also beneficial in ailments like Acne, other skin diseases, flu and increase cholesterol problems. When you take it regularly it cures these issues gradually. ACV is also beneficial in constipation problems because it contain natural fiber called pectin which clears the bowels.

2. Humming Breathing Exercise - Humming breathing exercise is a technique of breathing in yoga called bhramri pranayama. In this breathing exercise you need to exhale air through the throat and make a humming noise like a bee with eyes closed. The humming noise relaxes the throat muscles, nasal cavities and the sinus cavities and the resonance keep the entire head region healthy.

You need to sit in a quite place to practice this. Sit preferably on a mat with back straight. Place your index fingers in the forehead from both hands. Place the middle two fingers on the eyes gently and the little fingers on sides of your nose.

Now slowly inhale to full capacity of your lungs. Start controlled exhalation from the throat and make humming noise from the throat. Try to feel the vibration in your entire head region. Humming will automatically make you exhale. Once exhalation is complete inhale fully again and repeat the humming again. You can do this 9 to 12 times everyday in the morning.

While you practice this breathing exercise air vibrates between the Sinus cavities and the respiratory tracts and there is increase in air flow and amount of oxygen in the region. The sinuses become very healthy and infections cannot develop in the cavities.

The practice of humming meditation also helps improve your voice quality and if practiced regularly you would be able to maintain the voice quality even in the advance age.
