Whenever I go check out what's going on at a gymnasium, I will usually hear an answer about "what are these sets of weights" the ones they are referring to are known as kettlebells. Now what are kettlebells? They are a popular form of exercise equipment that has seen an increased wave of popularity recently. While these sets of weights and exercises are known to most people involved in fitness, a good number of individuals have little to no knowledge of how they work.

Kettlebells are cast-iron weights used for fitness purposes. They somewhat look like a solid iron tea kettle, just without the spout. Another way to describe them is a cannonball with a handle that had been attached. They were originally used in Russia where they were used as weights for scales in marketplaces. Since they were mainly used to weigh agricultural equipment and products, kettlebells were mostly used by farmers. Eventually these farmers would turn swinging and carrying these weights into a game. Festivals were held to showcase each farmer's prowess. This would continue on for generations until it became more of a fitness apparatus.

The farmers shaped the way kettlebells are operated now with their use for swinging, squatting, jerking, etc. Russian farmers discovered that kettlebells help you increase your power, agility and speed. Due to what kettlebells had to offer, the Russians started creating workouts with the kettlebell. It wasn't long before kettlebells surged to the point where it became a national sport in Russia.

But not long after such, it was then used in health clubs and fitness gyms. It's the one that you are using today. It's an easy equipment to use.
