If there's one common exercise machine that you may have used, it would be the treadmills. There are a lot of homes and gyms that own this particularly amazing machine. Treadmills can be used easily. You may worry about its size but it's good and really effective.

Treadmills for exercise do have an interesting history. It wasn't used for exercise as it is now. You should also note that it was even used for criminal punishment during its prime. One of its main purposes was to grind wheat. But instead of motors or electricity, it was being powered by animals. It was the "in" tool because it just made work a lot easier. It just took much of the labor from people.

Then moving forward, a new trend came about. In the 18th century, they made something different out of these treadmills and then they were used to punish criminals. These people had to use these treadmills as community service. They would look like walking up an infinite stair-case. Other treadmills for the same purpose can only fit one person at a time and he would walk or run on the inside. It's just like the toy inside your hamster's cage.

Treadmills were used more often now like water for irrigation and more. Then in the 19th century, treadmills were placed in another level. It was first used by doctors for rehab purposes. It was to help people who had injuries and walking problems.

But not long after such, it was then used in health clubs and fitness gyms. It's the one that you are using today. It's an easy equipment to use. Since you can use it at home, you can have your exercises while listening to your favorite music or while watching TV. You can easily walk on this and its predictable not like running through sidewalks and other trails. Thus, the risk of having injuries would be lower.

With the use of treadmills you can manage all the parts of your exercise program such as warming up and cooling down. There are treadmills that can be programmed for your convenience. You don't have to adjust anything but one or more persons can use it. There are treadmills that monitor your heart beat while you on the other hand work on your exercises. You can track your fitness programs with this.

With this, you can burn up a lot of extra fats. With this, you can lose more fats as compared to other forms exercise workouts. Though it's quite expensive, you can enjoy what it can give you. Since the results are the best, you can disregard the disadvantages.
