Summer time can be unpredictable in this country. Some summers we enjoy weeks on end of hot weather, while other summers see us shivering under the shelter at the park we came out to play in because we just had to do something, even if the weather was bad.
The key is not so much having the perfect weather but knowing what to do with the weather you've been given. If it's a hot day, are you the kind of person who can quickly throw a barbque together or a trip to the seaside? When the rain pours do you have a backup plan?
Every garden should be summer ready, even if for most of the time the weather does not play ball. Having a barbeque is an essential. When the warm weather strikes, it's no use using those disposable things, you should have a real barbeque and plenty of charcoal.
