This is a head-to-head comparison of the Sanyo SA 5000 and the Panasonic 30004. These are high in massage chairs with full body massage capability. The price tags of these chairs are and the $4000 range. This is a showdown of two Japanese titans and their massage chair prowess. We will breakdown some of the top features and warranty coverage of massage recliners.

Let's roll with the SA 5000 from Sanyo and its impressive feature list. This massage chair boasts some amazing mechanical technology. The GK roller system is Sanyo's leg up on the competition. This roller system can literally reach over your shoulders. It provides a great massage that relieves tension in the shoulders and neck.

The contender also comes with some fantastic features from Panasonic. The 30004 comes with the Junetsu massage. The Junetsu massage provides for deep tissue relief and releasing of knots in the back. The soothing circular motions along with increases in pressure soothe the entirely through the muscle region.

Sanyo has incorporated a new stiffness massage. The stiffness massage is to relieve tension in the muscles. This massage is especially targeted for the shoulders and neck. With the use of their proprietary GK roller mechanism, Sanyo is able to provide a gripping massage around the neck and shoulder area. This can provide needed relief and relaxation.

The 30004 massage chair by Panasonic has five automatic programs for your massage needs. They provide a good sampling of massage techniques including deep tissue, Swedish, shiatsu and stretching. Stretching massages work in conjunction with other parts of the chair to stretch the lower body and also the upper body and arms. The shiatsu massage takes a reading of your body and notes exactly where your acupressure points are located.

A stress detector is incorporated into the Sanyo SA 5000 massage chair. Sanyo also makes lie detectors and they use the same technology to determine where stress is coming from in the body. You copy or hand over the top of the sensor and the computer then runs a reading to determine stress points in the body. The program then inputs those points into the computer and the program then identifies and targets your stress points for relief.

Need a good stretch? Try the Panasonic 30004 massage chair with its upper body stretching capability. This amazing technology actually can stretch your arm and shoulder areas. A lower body stretch capability is also incorporated into this massage recliner. This is an excellent way to relieve tension and the joints and to help increase flexibility.

If you need to target a specific area, then try the manual massages of the SA 5000. There are four manual massage techniques including kneading, rolling, combination massage and tapping. You can also specify the massage to be in a specific area of your back. Select from upper back, lower back middle back and neck and shoulders.

The 30004 comes with manual massage techniques as well. This recliner is loaded with eight manual massage types including Junetsu, shiatsu, kneading, Swedish, stretch, tapping, rolling and grip. The variety of manual methods is quite extraordinary in this massage chair. You are also free to choose from manual courses to contain the massage in a specific in a specific region or area.

Sanyo covers the SA 5000 with one year of parts and labor. The roller mechanism is covered for three years. Samuel also offers one year of in-home service under its warranty. Panasonic provides three years of parts protection on the 30004 massage recliner. This chair is also covered with a one year and home technician service.

Both of these massage chairs by Panasonic and Sanyo have some of the latest technology features. Massage therapy of both of these chairs are invigorating and intense. If you need relief, both of these chairs will deliver. We favor the Panasonic 30004 with it stretching capability but we enjoy the shoulder and neck massage with GK rollers and the gripping massage. Both of these massage chairs are worth checking out and determine which one is right for you area.
